Writing Your Ode Tonight
Chance will choose your subject.
Write a brief poem in its honor.
An ode is a poem of praise.
Three to ten lines is perfect.
Odes can be serious, funny, nostalgic, or strange.
Poets have written odes to all sorts of things:
birds, wind, urns, tomatoes, socks, salt, tortillas.
